Post subject:  Replacement for my low-pitched Buescher

I was a professional classical clarinet and sax musician (1970's). My Clarinet-Buffet 1968 got it from my teacher Marcellus in Cleveland. Also studied in Vienna with Jettel. He gave me my first alto sax a 1930's Buescher, had 'Low Pitch' written on it. It was customized for him by Mihali Rhemnyi a Budepest instrument maker. 15 yrs ago I gave it to Rhemnyi's grandson in Toronto. Tried lots of horns after that an none sounded as good as the old Buescher until last week. I found a mint condition Bundy II that someone had stored in a closet for 30 yrs, played once, paid $130, very minor repairs for $60. The sound is just as I remember the Buescher had. It is like I'm playing my old horn, and not all that far removed from that prototype sax Jettel played.
